Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture helps the body to achieve balance and wellness by rebalancing the chi or life force energy.

Shiatsu means in Japanese, pressure point massage, this massage technique uses acupuncture meridians for deep slow strokes to relax knotty areas and bring the body into balance through following the energetic meridians.

Cupping is a form of manual therapy in which cups are placed on the skin to produce suction. The suction of the cups mobilizes blood flow to promote the healing of a broad range of ailments. It is an ancient therapy that dates back to ancient Egypt, China, and the Middle Eastern cultures.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha uses an object such as a porcelain spoon to scrape the skin to produce light bruising. The therapy releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing. It is mainly used to treat physical pain such as stiff neck and lower back pain.

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of mugwort, a small, spongy herb, to facilitate healing. The burning of moxa is believed to expel cold and warm the meridians, which leads to smoother flow of blood and chi. The therapy produces a pleasant heating sensation that penetrates deep into the skin, but should not experience any pain or burning.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Specifically designed facial acupuncture needles are gently inserted into acupuncture points on the face to facilitate the movement of blood and stimulate the production of collagen. The treatment nourishes, re-hydrates, tones and reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles. Additionally, facial massage using a jade stone specifically designed for acupressure improves the tone of the facial muscles. Your skin will also have a more youthful glow. Natural Chinese herbal creams are applied in a soothing herbal facial mask. In advanced facial acupuncture, synergistic points are used on the arms, legs and body to further strengthen the body's energy, thereby enhancing beauty from the inside out.
